Sime Vrsaljko is a professional Croatian football player who plays as a right back for Croatia national team and Spanish La Liga football club, Athletico Madrid.

Besides playing for Athletico Madrid, he has also played for Croatian football clubs such as Dinamo Zagreb and Lokootiva as well as Italian football clubs like Genoa and Sassuolo.

He was transferred to fellow Croatian football club, Lokomotiva as the part of the loan deal in 2009. The Croatian defender was then transferred to Italian football club, Genoa for a transfer fee of around €4.6 million in the summer of 2013.

He signed with another Italian football club, Sassuolo for a transfer fee of €3.5 million with € 2 million in the summer of 2014. Sime is currently playing for Spanish football club, Atletico Madrid with whom he signed a five-year contract in 2016.
